Does it Embarrass You That... You have been at your job for over 3 years and you still dont know how to perform a basic task? Everyone else around you knows how its done but truthfully, you dont? Since the task is  so basic to your job, you are ashamed to ask for help? GET OVER IT.   Get.   Over.   It.   Everyone has that ONE THING, maybe 3, that they should know but they really dont on the job.   Putting it off and never taking the time to figure it out only makes matters worse.   Your best resources are around you so put your pride aside and ask for help! I have been selling for 8 years and youd better believe I am asking my newbie peers for help with our new computer systems.   I am asking my tenured peers for help with basic Excel functions I  have forgotten  since business school.   I am asking sales people in other divisions for suggestions on basic selling tactics and where I can find various resources.   It only makes me better and what do I care what they think? Sitting down and figuring it out yourself is good but asking for help only speeds up the process.   The next thing you know, peers will be coming to YOU for help.   Conquer your fears and enlist help to improve your skills on the job.
